This is a one hour study lesson for small high school Sunday school class or adult Bible study class. This lesson should be used in the second or third class meeting. The objectives of this study lesson are: • To begin getting comfortable with navigating the Bible • Associating the Bible with one’s own life • Understanding that God may speak differently to different people in a Bible passage • To get to know and understand one another better

I helped my mom and dad celebrate their 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was a wonderful time. We celebrated 50 years of sharing life through thick and thin. But we also celebrated the gift of marriage and family for today. In a world marred by divorce and division we could affirm that God meant us for each other. As our Genesis text reminds us, "It is not good that man should be alone."

The Director of Youth Ministry's role is to be someone who should be a person whose commitment to Christ and the Church is evidenced in daily living and work. In addition he or she should be trained in and committed to the Christian Church.

The Director of Youth, Family and Educational Ministries (hereafter referred to as DYFEM) should have a fervent zeal to bring all youth in the congregation closer to Christ; strengthen families and encourage life-long learning. He/she may have a degree in education, recreation and (or) theological training or other related degree and two years' experience in a related field. The DYFEM should have a love and understanding of all God's children and be seeded in the faith.
