This was a handout given to adult leaders of youth groups that ranged from 5th-12th grade. It was given out after a day long youth event at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania called Lutheran Youth Day. LYD is an event geared for teenagers that include small group, large group, worship and musical performance. The theme for last year’s LYD was “Come Gather at the Lake Shore” and the curriculum focused on themes of baptism. This handout outlines the curriculum from that day’s small group times, divided into Junior High and Senior High groups. There were two small group sessions throughout the day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Since adult leaders did not go to small group with their youth, the purpose of the outline was to create discussion among adult leaders and their youth on the drive home and during the weeks after LYD.
