Clown Worship
In Summer 2009 at Shetek Lutheran Ministries, the Program Director and Leadership Staff agreed to creating a "Clown Worship" instead of the traditional Staff Musical that had been done for over several years. The clown worship takes on the traditional form of worship at camp.
Advent Poetry Worship
This is a short Advent worship service that was originally designed for chapel at Concordia College on December 1st, 2008. It centers around song and poetry as a means of engaging the central theme of Advent: waiting. While the context shapes some of the decisions, this could be adapted for a "Lessons & Carols" type service in any setting.

Clowning: Maundy Thursday foot washing
There are such powerful images that can be drawn from John 13's telling of Jesus washing the disciples' feet and sharing with them the greatest commandment that they "Love One Another." This silent clowning drama (except for text read from voice out of site), gives high impact to this great act of servanthood. Can/should be used in the context of Maundy Thursday worship in place of the Gospel reading.
Worship
This is a lesson I used with our high school youth group on worship. Using the story of Paul and Silas worshipping in jail after being beaten up and thrown into jail. What does that kind of worship look like with us today, especially our youth?
Sent to Serve - Tyler Beane
This is a worship song I wrote at Flathead Lutheran Bible Camp in the summer of '09. It is based on Eugene Peterson's translation of Colossians 3 (from The Message). I hope that by posting an audio file, chords, lyrics, and notes that people will be able to use the song both inside and outside of camp settings.
