The personal items for the children to take home each week: a purple cloth, compass, etc. are a great way to bring the story back into the home and also a way to truly make the story personal for the children. For the fourth week I would maybe use the Bible as a whole as opposed to the Ten Commandments alone, but I think that is just up to a person's discretion. It also may be difficult to get the answers looked for each week when the only prompt is What do we need for the trip? but that can also be easily modified.
